If we all had the same mindset the creators of Fallout 4 did when it came to settlements, we would never survive. No wonder humanity can never win in post-apocalyptic settings. Yet, we pick this one shabby house to start all over in. Just look at how secure that first location would have been! You could protect yourself from so many things. Unfortunately, it always feels like you’re not making the best choices. The settlements of Fallout 4 are perhaps the weirdest thing you can experience while playing the game. That being said, it’s still very funny to look at when it happens. Things, much like this knife, tend to be a reoccurring thing that happens in Fallout, but we won’t hold that over the developer’s heads. With every video game, there’s usually a couple of errors that are unavoidable. That being said, it’s important to remember that this game is a huge open-world experience so it’s almost impossible for things like this not to happen. Usually, these things are glitches and tend to be just a little ridiculous. This is actually from one of the previous games, but the same rule seems to apply in Fallout 4. Just look at that landing! The precision! It’s like he threw it while levitating! A real ten out of ten on this one folks. Apparently, your avatar is so good that they can make a knife stick to a car. Even if it is made out of something you could logically stab, you have to still be good at throwing knives. Real-world logic would dictate that if we throw a knife at anything that isn’t made out of cork or fabric, it’ll just bounce off. If you’re a normal gamer, you probably stash as much as you can get thinking it’ll be useful down the road. We’re sure that you’re going to need all that radioactive junk at some point. It’s insane, but we guess it is what it is. But, as soon as we even get close to one of the barrels of toxic waste, or literally anything that glows green, your Geiger Counter starts ticking like a clock counting down to your doom. The nuclear material meme is talking about anything from miniature bombs to monster flesh that’s been radioactive for god knows how long. ![]() In game, you find an assortment of things that could potentially carry deadly effects. Why shouldn't we just carry all this nuclear stuff? That’s the logic behind this, right? Apparently since you survive, but seriously though someone didn’t think this all the way through. But, then we decide it’s time to carry all this radioactive stuff anyways? What’s the deal here? We may as well be rolling around in toxic waste, because if we can’t even walk near these barrels without the threat of death, there is literally no way we can survive carrying these materials. Fallout 4 is supposed to be about a post-apocalyptic world where life is constantly being threatened by the radiation.
